Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including urgent care, outpatient facilities, and nursing homes. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Perform routine procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Participate in patient assessments and assist in emergency situations as needed.
Skills
- Experience in urgent care or emergency room settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of home community care practices for patients requiring at-home assistance.
- Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings or Level I Trauma Centers.
- Experience in medical office environments or nursing homes is beneficial.
- Proficiency in operating room (OR) protocols is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
