Overview:
We are currently seeking a Full-time Trim Technician to join Intrepid Management and our affiliate, Zion Medicinal. We are seeking a high-performing, self-motivated individual who is committed to producing top-quality flower for the patients of Utah.
As a Trim Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing cannabis flower for market by carefully trimming leaves and stems from the buds in accordance with
state regulations,
company quality standards, and strict hygiene protocols. Your attention to detail directly impacts the quality and consistency of our products.
The ideal individual for this position needs to be responsible, honest, detail-oriented, motivated, and reliable. Someone who communicates well and is motivated to learn our methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trim harvested cannabis flower with precision, maintaining the integrity and structure of each bud
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the trimming area, tools, and equipment
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines
- Accurately track, report weights, and production data following State of Utah regulations, as well as Company procedures.
- Adhere to all state compliance requirements and company policies
- Collaborate with cultivation and processing teams as needed to meet production goals
- Use required PPE and follow all OSHA Safety regulations
- Cleaning and sanitizing- maintain a strict standard of cleanliness in the workspace as well as all equipment / tools used.
- Maintain quality and consistency while meeting established productivity standards
- Regularly meet and exceed minimum standards set for daily goals
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production or agricultural environment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Must be 21+ and able to pass federal background checks per state regulations
- Must be able to obtain UDAF Agent card
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, understand, and write in English
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to see fine details, color, texture, foreign material, and flower composition
- Ability to work with hands using scissors
- Ability to use fine motor skills and have good hand dexterity
- Must be able to tolerate high temperatures and high humidity
Work Environment:
- High temperature, high humidity greenhouse facility.
- Employees must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in an agriculture environment.
- Exposure to cannabis plant materials and strong cannabis odors
- Extended periods of sitting, repetitive motion, and use of hand tools
