Job Overview
The primary responsibility of the Crane Operator is to pick all orders, put away or relocate product in an safe, accurate and methodical manner. Work with runner to complete daily assignments using RF scanner and MHE; fill in for runner when needed.
Essentials Job Functions
- SAFETY 1ST. Follow all safety rules and procedures at all times when picking and putting away product. Do not allow runners or any personnel in aisle while you are in motion. Do not leave cab in the air unless you have a harness, you are secured and supervised. NO CLIMBING RACKS EVER.
- Never travel in reverse before first physically looking back behind your or machines rear view cameras to see path way and or aisle are clear.
- All pallet moves must be completed through RF Scanner only.
- Crane operator must utilize Case pick or Normal Mode, apply exit tags accordingly and stage when complete. Any issues must be reported to Inventory Manager.
- All pallet put away or relocated must be completed through RF Scanner only, any issues must be reported to inventory manager.
- All pallets to be placed in the racking system must be on a good pallet that is not broken, stacked properly and not leaning, as well as wrapped securely.
- Ensure that all orders labeled with an order place card corresponding to a pick-up (Orange) and deliveries (Green). Order placards and exits tags are to be applied accordingly.
- Assist runners from time to time in picking, building or consolidating orders.
- • Responsible for verifying the product descriptions, case count, pallet and lot #’s and location of product during order picking. Make location correction by relocation (RFRL) if needed.
- Report any discrepancies of the item descriptions, case counts, and pallet or lot # to the Warehouse Manager immediately for correction.
- Responsible to keep all machines clear of debris.
- Check crane at the start, during and end of every shift.
- Complete machine checklist daily.
- Ensure inventory is placed correctly in the racking system-square on the rack, not crooked.
- Ensure no plastic, part of the wooden pallet or cases extend more than 1” over the edge of the rack location to be used.
- Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and clear of debris and hazards at all times. Wood, plastic, or paper should be cleaned from the floor or racking system.
- Report any damages to product or the warehouse itself to the Warehouse Manager immediately. Fault or not, damages to anything in the warehouse must be reported.
- Relocate and consolidate partial pallets (half a pallet location) to the A-level whenever possible or to place on top of another pallet safely and without damaging other products in order to gain locations for more freight.
Qualifications
Certified Machine Handling Equipment
• RF scanning Experience
• 1-3 years’ experience in warehouse operations

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- The employee is required to operate machinery and/or equipment such as forklifts, electric jacks, etc.
• The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate machinery and/or heavy equipment.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject the following work environment:
• The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• The employee is required to work on a dock.
• The employee is subject to extreme cold: temperatures typically between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally may be exposed to temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit.
• The employee is subject to hazards including moving pallets; material and/or equipment handling.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
