The Job: We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring Math and Science to all students. Proficiency with classes: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Must be available at 3PM.
Calculus is a plus. The ability to tutor SAT/ACT is a bonus, but not a requirement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Teach the lessons thoroughly enough that the student can competently complete their lessons confidently and independently.
· Assist with homework.
· Re-focus students if they get off task.
· Challenge students to reach academic goals.
· Availability during the school year (M-F After School at 3PM), and Saturday Mornings.
Special Knowledge/Skills – Optional but not required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Proven to adapt to changes/program adjustments
No outside preparation or lesson planning for this position. Ideal for upper level high school students and college students ! Starting pay is between $10-$15 per hour and is based on experience and knowledge level.
