Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Manage and monitor access to the dispensary premises, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Patrolling: Conduct routine patrols of the interior and exterior of the dispensary to identify and address any potential security concerns.
- Incident Response: Quickly and effectively respond to emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
- Customer Interaction: Provide a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with dispensary staff, customers, and contractors.
- Monitoring Systems: Utilize surveillance cameras and alarm systems to oversee the security of the property.
- Compliance Enforcement: Ensure that all individuals comply with company and dispensary-specific policies, procedures, and applicable state laws.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with dispensary management, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
- Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Florida Class “D” Security License.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous security experience, preferably at a dispensary, retail location, or high-value site.
- Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and compliance.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Conflict resolution or de-escalation training.
- Exceptional situational awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and team interactions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
- Indoor and outdoor patrols in various weather conditions.
- May involve standing, walking, and light physical activity for extended hours.
