Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies. The Security Officer will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and enforce safety regulations.
Hours
Monday-Friday 11pm-7 am, off weekends. $19-$21hr
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing assistance as needed.
- Prepare detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches or unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize CCTV systems for surveillance and monitoring activities within the facility.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance in emergencies as required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public and staff.
Skills
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Experience in loss prevention techniques and strategies is a plus.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
- Proficient in surveillance operations, including the use of CCTV systems.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security risks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
