What the day will look like

Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks a U.S. Retirement Associate Actuarial in Atlanta, Georgia to provide actuarial consulting services. Support retirement and pension benefit programs for the company’s International Wealth Solutions Practice. Develop and implement project plans for client initiatives and deliverables for actuarial consulting services. Analyze client pension and retirement plans to assess which plans require specific actuarial valuations for accounting purposes. Calculate minimum funding provisions. Prepare financing plans and determine the employer contribution in accordance with the financing plan. Prepare valuation runs and program provisions as well as the interpretation of valuation results and provide recommendations. Collect census data and perform annual valuations to assess the ongoing financial health of pension plans. Prepare projections (both stochastic and deterministic) of long-term financial information for pension and other post-retirement benefit plans. Coordinate asset-liability analysis and other studies with investment consultants. Design and cost new retirement programs. Develop pension administration systems. Conduct quantitative comparisons of comprehensive employee benefit programs for groups of employers. Analyze retirement and pension benefits plans using ProVal and Microsoft Office technologies. Ensure retirement and pension benefit programs are compliant with pension accounting standards, including US GAAP (ASC715) and IFRS (IAS19). Local telecommuting available up to 3 days a week. Annual Salary: $115,523 - $120,800.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field, plus one year of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Providing actuarial support for retirement and pension benefit programs; 2. Calculating minimum funding provisions; 3. Preparing financing plans and determining the employer contribution in accordance with the financing plan; 4. Collecting census data and perform annual valuations to assess the ongoing financial health of pension plans; 5. Preparing projections (both stochastic and deterministic) of long-term financial information for pension and other post-retirement benefit plans; 6. Analyzing retirement and pension benefits plans using ProVal and Microsoft Office technologies; and 7. Ensuring retirement and pension benefit programs are compliant with pension accounting standards, including US GAAP (ASC715) and IFRS (IAS19).

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

The salary range for this position is $115,523 - $120,800 annually.
