Job Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various waste transportation and vacuum units, including semis, tankers, hydro-excavation trucks, roll-off trucks, and bulk haulers
- Transport waste and materials in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Accurately complete and verify all waste-related paperwork (manifests, placards, LDRs, bills of lading, etc.)
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Lift, carry, and pull hoses (up to 100 pounds) and perform minor maintenance tasks
- Work safely in all weather conditions, and in environments with elevated noise levels
- Follow oral and written instructions and maintain professional service standards
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Participate in emergency response projects when required
- Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other job-related forms
Requirements
- Valid CDL A (or B) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Ability to drive an 18-speed manual transmission
- Negative drug and alcohol test (including marijuana), per federal regulations
- Satisfactory background check (case-by-case review)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid medical card
- Ability to understand and follow safe work procedures and basic operational instructions
- Physically fit and capable of performing a labor-intensive role
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
