The Ripon High School is searching for highly qualified individuals to apply for the positions of Varsity Assistant/JV Head Boys Soccer Coach.
The individual chosen for this position will be of high character and be able to bring exuberant passion and energy each day as they continue to build upon the program’s success. Individuals with prior High School or College coaching and/or playing experience that are looking to build an interscholastic soccer program are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be, or be willing to acquire, CPR certification and NFHS Coaching certification if not holding a Wisconsin Teaching License. You must comply with all WIAA and Ripon Area School District rules and regulations.

The chosen applicant’s direct supervisor will be the Varsity Head Coach. All staff, philosophy, skill progressions, and expectations will be at the discretion of the Varsity Head Coach. The Varsity Head Coach will work directly with the Athletic Director.
The chosen individual will be held, but is not limited to, the following expectations:
- Follow program expectations and policies as developed by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Ripon High School.
- Conduct yourself as a professional, show great sportsmanship, Ripon pride, and be a role model for the student-athletes while representing the Ripon High School and community.
- Assisting in daily practice plans -- Working as a positional coach, as well as non-Varsity Head Coach.
- Ability to manage and run a full practice schedule efficiently in the absence of the Head Coach.
- Prepare JV players to become great Varsity players and prepare Varsity players for best team results on game days.
- Willingness to assist in any capacity as assigned on game days.
- Evaluation of player success
- Game planning
- Be able to set up and effectively use technology
- Able to supervise development opportunities outside of the season.
- Attend all practices, games, and meetings.
- Promote the game of soccer to the Ripon Community.
- Perform and comply with any additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
The regular-season starts in mid-August and runs until early-November. Practice times will be at the discretion of the Head Coach. The season consists of approximately 20 contests, and will be scheduled for any day of the week besides Wednesdays or Sundays.
