Selection Process Overview
M1 Concourse is a premier automotive playground featuring a state-of-the-art track and vibrant community of enthusiasts. We host some of the industry’s most prestigious events, including the American Speed Festival, Woodward Dream Festival, and Cars & Coffee gatherings. We are seeking a Vehicle Selection Specialist to lead our efforts in curating the finest vehicles for our signature shows and events. This is a dynamic, relationship-driven role for someone passionate about the automotive world and skilled in event execution.

What You Will Do...

• Take the lead role in recruiting vehicles for M1 Concourse’s festivals and marquee events.
• Build and maintain relationships with car owners, collectors, museums, and clubs.
• Develop and manage vehicle classes and selection committees.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate event logistics and ensure exceptional participant experience.
• Represent M1 Concourse at industry events, car shows, and networking opportunities.
• Assist with other event operations as needed to ensure success of the entire program.

Job Summary
The Vehicle Selection Specialist leads outreach and engagement with car clubs and show car owners, managing the Vehicle Selection Committee and related budgets to curate vehicles for M1 Concourse shows, events and signature festivals. This role drives participant solicitation, car class coordination and event logistics – collaborating cross-functionally to meet operational goals. The Vehicle Selection Specialist builds and maintains relationships within the automotive community, facilitates meetings, contributes to content development for audience engagement, and represents M1 at industry events. Responsibilities also include managing participant data, supporting organizational events and promoting team effectiveness and professionalism throughout all activities. Represents M1 Concourse with the highest level of professionalism and decorum.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborates inter-departmentally – as needed - to promote operational objectives to organizational expectations.
• Collaborates within the department to promote operational objectives to organizational expectations.
• Creates content and marketing posts that engage target car owners and clubs.
• Establishes and enhances relationships with M1 Concourse Car Clubs and show car owners.
• Facilitates and organizes car show classes with car selection teams.
• Facilitates Car Class Meetings, produces agendas and provides comprehensive documentation of efforts.
• Facilitates coordination project timelines, milestones and deliverables and ensures required resources are effectively allocated to ensure achievement of objectives.
• Facilitates optimal participation in M1 Concourse shows, events and festivals.
• Facilitates the expansion of institutional knowledge, collaborating with M1 Concourse Marketing efforts, to foster greater industry awareness, improved engagement efforts and advocacy for the company and the company’s shows, festivals and events.
• Manages and continually expands database of target participants for M1 Concourse Events and Signature Festivals.
• Manages class check-in processes and logistics for car show owner participants.
• Manages M1 Concourse’s Vehicle Selection Committee and corresponding budget to effectively select vehicles for all applicable shows, festivals and events.
• Manages outreach and communication with car clubs and show car owners – solicits participation in all M1 Concourse Signature Events including, but not limited to, Woodward Dream Show, American Speed Festival, Cars and Coffee and Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular.
• Networks at industry-events including, but not limited to, car and trade shows.
• Presents professionally and represents the M1 Concourse at the highest levels.
• Provides general support with organizational events and productions.
• Remains current on industry trends, market dynamics, audience preferences and competitive landscape.
• All other duties as may be required and assigned.
