Essential Functions:
- Collect urine specimen as needed.
- Accurately track and submit mileage log.
- Inspect the RRC facility for safety, cleanliness, contraband and make sure the center is up to designated standards; conduct home confine inspections and verifications as directed.
- Communicate, via RRC Communication Log, any pertinent occurrences that take place on shift; have knowledge of all rules and regulations as outlined in the Procedural Manuals and RRC Standards of Conduct.
- Attend designated training activities.
- Being on call in case of sickness, vacations, etc. to cover corrections aide shift and/or rearrange scheduling in case of emergencies to ensure adequate shift coverage and to notify supervisor of any such occurrences.
- Report information to supervisor regarding all above duties and any other pertinent situations.
- Perform any other administrative or clerical functions as requested by supervisor to aide counselors.
- Attend staff meetings monthly.
- Conduct onsite verifications for those inmates on home confinement, both work and home on a weekly basis for each inmate and other verifications as needed.
- Required to possess CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalency and one (1) year of correctional experience preferred. Experience related to Residential Reentry a plus. Mature judgment to handle emergency situations. Ability to interact as a quality team member. Valid Florida drivers license with clear driving record as use of company vehicle is a requirement.
