ADP is hiring a Vice President, Tax Strategy
This is an exciting role that will report to the Senior VP of Tax and is responsible for all of ADP’s global tax strategy, inclusive of federal, state and international tax. Critical to this role is the ability to operate in a matrixed environment, this role will partner closely with senior leaders in the organization. We are looking for someone who gets excited by complex challenges and be willing to challenge existing practices. This person should be embraced by senior leadership as a trusted business and strategic advisor and whose opinion is sought and respected. This role will have one direct report.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate and implement strategies to effectively manage taxes while mitigating risk. Strategies may be internally generated, recommended by third party advisors or developed through partnership with the business.
- Monitor global tax legislation changes and provide technical evaluation of proposed or enacted legislation and recommendations for minimizing any adverse impacts.
- Oversee all aspects of ADP's transfer pricing matters ensuring strategic compliance and adapting policies to changing businesses needs.
- Provide hands-on support to ADP in all aspects of tax provision, tax compliance and tax audits.
- Support business in all M&A and business transactions including overseeing due diligence, advising on the tax consequences of different structures, advising on post-acquisition implementation matters and contract negotiations.
- Be a key, strategic business partner who brings their tax acumen to help solve issues and identify opportunities.

Qualifications:
- 15+ years of detailed technical knowledge of international tax law and the ability to apply such knowledge in a practical, strategic and compliant manner.
- JD/LL.M. preferred but not required.
- Proven success in researching and communicating complex technical tax issues clearly to non-tax team members and working effectively across functional teams and with senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex matters with simplicity and clarity to non-experts across the company.
- Demonstrated ability to be “hands-on”, “sleeves rolled up”, resourceful, detail and results-oriented, proactive and responsive.
