Join us as VP, Area Manager, where you’ll oversee multiple branches and empower Branch Managers to achieve operational excellence, sales growth, and community impact.
This role is pivotal in guiding branch leadership across Alameda, San Rafael, Corte Madera, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Millbrae—ensuring consistency, compliance, and innovation across the network. You’ll play a strategic role in driving revenue growth while fostering a culture of accountability, service, and development.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Management
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for Branch Managers through regular one-on-one and group meetings.
- Conduct frequent branch visits to reinforce sales, service, and operational alignment.
- Partner with Operations, Training, and Regional Sales leadership to address deficiencies, implement improvements, and scale best practices.
- Ensure timely hiring, onboarding, and development of branch talent.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee compliance with bank policies, regulatory standards, audits, and certifications.
- Monitor branch performance dashboards, identify trends, and implement action plans for improvement.
- Manage costs and risks by addressing operational losses, fee waivers, and turnover.
Sales & Growth
- Drive branch-level sales and new business development in partnership with the SVP–Regional Sales Manager.
- Support joint marketing, outbound calls, client meetings, and community engagement to grow deposits and expand relationships.
- Guide branches in meeting sales and service goals while ensuring exceptional client experiences.
Community Engagement
- Support Branch Managers in representing the bank at community events.
- Commit to a minimum of 10 hours of CRA volunteer service annually (paid time).
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive branch operations and/or sales management experience in financial services.
- 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing branch managers or equivalent.
- Strong financial acumen, business development skills, and knowledge of banking operations and compliance.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking systems.
- Flexibility to travel regionally to branches.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
