RCN Capital, LLC is a national, direct private lender providing time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties, provide bridge loans, and provide real estate-backed lines of credit.
We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to drive process execution and operational excellence across our growing structured finance platform. This role will focus on managing all aspects of loan closings and supporting the underwriting function across multifamily bridge and SFR portfolio transactions. The ideal candidate has deep experience in commercial real estate loan closings, is process-driven, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all operational aspects of loan closings from term sheet to funding, ensuring clean execution, documentation, and communication.
- Serve as a key partner to originators and underwriters, helping resolve structuring, diligence, and closing challenges.
- Review and support underwriting packages for accuracy, completeness, and readiness for committee/investor review.
- Design and implement policies, procedures, and process flows (PNPs) to support scalable, repeatable execution across loan types.
- Identify and implement tools to streamline operations, reduce friction, and improve visibility across closing and underwriting pipelines.
- Oversee vendor and third-party coordination (legal, title, insurance, valuation, etc.).
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure documentation and processes adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Potential to evolve into a team leadership role managing all operational personnel as platform scales.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending operations, with a strong focus on multifamily and/or SFR portfolio closings.
- Strong grasp of the closing lifecycle, loan documentation, and key diligence components.
- Experience collaborating closely with credit and underwriting teams to drive efficient pipeline management.
- Demonstrated ability to design and document operational processes and controls.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communicator who can bridge technical execution with cross-functional coordination.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized.
Education:
- Bachelor?s degree required; real estate, finance, or business concentration preferred.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (with occasional evenings or weekends as needed).
- Flexibility to travel for business development and industry events.
