We are currently looking for a VP Relationship Manager II at our St. George branch. This VP Relationship Manager II is responsible to originate and renew Complex Commercial Loans. Monitor account files/update as needed. Supervise Secretarial staff. Supportive training to junior staff. Provide assistance in Loan collections and Loans in difficulty. Responsible for department budgeting.
Experience/Skills necessary to perform duties:
- Minimum 10 years Commercial Lending Experience with particular emphasis in analysis and portfolio management. Previous experience with management or training.
- College education or equivalent experience including: accounting principles; economics, including Micro and Macro theory, and Money and Banking; management principles; business law; principles of financial management; and business/technical writing.
- Advanced college degree ( ie MBA, CPA, MS) in business or technical field. Or equivalent experience.
- Other educational experience regarding: principles of bank operations; analyzing financial statements; bank investments; credit administration; and business administration.
- Interest in People with a sincere desire to help; curiosity; thoroughness; written and verbal communication skills; competence in math to at least the algebraic level; independent thinker; constructive; resourceful, imaginative, and innovative; cautiously aggressive; and skilled in interpersonal relationships.
- Provides supporting training to Credit Analysts, Portfolio Managers and other staff.
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to complex Commercial Loan inquiries from customers and potential Loan customers. Evaluate Loan requests for viability e.g. financial statement and risk analysis. Generate Loan approval reports and Loan presentation packages. Communicate with customers on approval or denial of requests or modifications of requests. Negotiate rates and fees. Follow up on documentary deficiencies and on-going credit file maintenance. Close Loans.
- Experience and familiarity with reviewing and negotiating loan documentation terms and transaction structure.
- Analyze existing Loans for renewal and/or structural change. Prepare Loans for presentation and approval.
- Review credit files and update changes in financial status. Review and coordinate exception report resolution. Follow up Loan tickler reports. Review files for examination purposes.
- Contact existing customers to augment existing service relationship. Contact potential customers from long term relationships developed over their career to establish relationships for current and future business. Develop "Game of work" strategies to stimulate total Bank marketing effort.
- Initiate phone calls to past due Loan customers. Collect on chronic delinquent accounts at time of repossession, liquidation or foreclosure of collateral. Monitor past due and payment reports. Advanced knowledge of the regulatory process and limits related to Loan “Workouts” and related regulated processes.
- Coordinate, review and evaluate the work responsibilities of supportive lending staff. Develop teamwork among group.
- Assist in conflict resolution.
