Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests feel welcomed, valued, and satisfied throughout their dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and best practices in hospitality.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with cash handling practices and experience using POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables while providing attentive service.
- Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that guests receive prompt assistance when needed.
