About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Wardrobe Hair Technician to join our team at DiscoShow at the LINQ in Las Vegas. It is the primary responsibility of the Wardrobe Hair Technician to support the team to ensure all wigs are well maintained and show ready, assist with costumes and perform ongoing artist support to ensure the finest overall look on stage, both before and during the show. This is an on-call role and the schedule will be based on the team’s needs. This position reports to the Head Wardrobe. This is an on-call position and the schedule will be based on the team’s needs.
What You’ll Do
- Repair, construct, clean and prep wigs for the run of the show to ensure the successful operation of the production while preserving the costume designer’s artistic vision.
- As needed, support ongoing Wardrobe department operations, including sewing, fittings, alterations (including adjustments to tailoring), costume construction and repairs (including shoes and accessories), painting, dyeing, and supervising wig styling and makeup.
- Support the laundry, cleaning, steaming, and pressing of costumes for the run of the show as needed
- Maintain, alter, and repair costumes, accessories, and shoes—including tailoring adjustments, stretch panel creation, and structural modifications as needed.
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
- Attend special costume sessions or wig fittings when appropriate.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to run the performances and rehearsals.
- Assist performers in applying wigs and facial hair before and during performances while ensuring they are wearing the wig/facial hair correctly according to the production costume design.
- Assist performers with wardrobe and quick changes before and during performances.
- Ensure performers are wearing costumes and accessories correctly according to the production costume design.
- Complete basic sewing repairs before and during performances as needed.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and artistic excellence.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures
- Aiding in the evolution of the production by making changes to show flow as required
- Support special events as required, including integration of new performers, acts, and costumes
- Participate in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
- Establish trust-based relationships with the performers
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What You Bring :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in professional wardrobe departments in theater or live entertainment.
- Strong knowledge of wig styling and maintenance, including lace front application, setting, and traditional techniques like finger waves and French braids.
- Experience with dresser duties: quick changes, garment fasteners, basic repairs, and multitasking under pressure.
- Comfortable operating and maintaining wardrobe machinery, equipment, and standard office tools (e.g., printers, labelers).
- Proficient in basic computer programs such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; committed to excellent customer service and collaboration.
- Must be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- OSHA 10 certified or willing to obtain; must meet safety, sanitation, and grooming standards
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Must have valid work authorization for the US
