Position: Warehouse Associate
DL Cabinetry is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and organizing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining an efficient and well-organized warehouse environment. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional products and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of cabinets and related materials.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods, and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
Order Processing:
- Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling products.
- Ensure that all items are correctly labeled and packaged according to company standards.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other team members to prioritize orders and meet deadlines.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments, utilizing proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure that aisles, storage areas, and workstations are free from obstructions.
- Follow proper material handling procedures, including the use of appropriate equipment and tools.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining efficient warehouse layout and storage practices.
Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of products during the receiving and packaging processes.
- Identify and report any product defects, damages, or quality issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to resolve and prevent quality-related issues.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring a smooth flow of information and tasks.
- Assist and support coworkers as needed, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is a plus.
- Ability to pick up 80 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
