The Warehouse Associate plays a pivotal role in overall company success by managing the supply chain, as they are responsible for keeping products moving efficiently, and ensuring the customers receive their orders on time. This role is key in ensuring that items are appropriately stocked, packaged, processed and received while maintaining industry safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting: unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspect incoming shipments and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Stocking and inventory: responsible for processing, labeling and storing incoming stock. Organize products in designated locations and conducting regular inventory counts. Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock.
- Order picking: accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly packed and labeled.
- Packing and shipping: pack orders securely, generate shipping labels and documentation, and coordinate with carriers, and installers.
- Equipment operation: safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions.
- Safety compliance: adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
- Housekeeping: maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all areas are free from clutter and debris.
- Team collaboration: work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments to achieve operational goals and assist with other tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to perform a wide range of duties.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 – 100lbs.).
Not required but beneficial:
- Experience in the Flooring industry and/or RFMS system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
