Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead for our Day Shift Team to oversee operations within our warehouse environment. This Warehouse Lead position will primarily oversee our growing Ecomm or Wholesale Department and work under the supervision of our Ops Managment Team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring efficiency and safety while managing a team. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in materials handling, inventory management, and overall operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise Warehouse operations and assist with coordination of warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing training and guidance to enhance productivity and teamwork.
- Assist with allocation of labor, releasing/assigning work, monitoring of breaks and active attendance tracking for the department assigned that night.
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Oversee materials handling procedures, ensuring the proper use of equipment such as forklifts.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy in stock management.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain control and accuracy.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolution of issues.
Qualifications
- Preferred 2 years' experience in warehouse operations with a focus on team management in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and inventory management practices.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory transactions, cycle counts, material movement and audits.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to warehouse safety.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, D365 experience and familiarity a plus.
- Ability to operate RF (Radio Frequency) systems.
- Forklift certification preferred; ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently and set priorities.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, leadership skills, and exhibit the desired strengths: determination, loyalty, poise, and confidence.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Work autonomously and maintain productivity and quality standards.
