SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Receives, stores and issues line materials, equipment, and merchandise for resale, tools and safety equipment in a stock room or storeroom. Performs all aspects of coordination for a full service warehouse. II.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):
1. Receives, accounts for, and stores material designated by authorized personnel of the Cooperative or for individuals or vendors.
2. Accounts for and distributes material. Spot checking inventory on occasion.
3. Is responsible for supervising the annual physical inventory for the Cooperative.
4. Maintains records and accounts for all materials and supplies used in the maintenance and construction of the Cooperative’s power system using the required software and computers.
5. Efficiently charges out materials to work orders, maintenance, service orders or purchases. Accounts for returns and salvage of materials.
6. Maintains warehouse, shop, building and yard in a neat and orderly manner.
7. Responsible to charge out materials requested by work crews.
8. Loads and unloads all incoming and outgoing material.
9. Participates in employee meetings regarding Cooperative policies, programs, job procedures, safe working practices, and training meetings and schools as directed.
10. Works with the Staking Engineer to effectively plan for, and order materials used in upcoming projects.
11. Operates Cooperative owned equipment in a safe manner.
12. Performs or arranges for maintenance on the Cooperative’s buildings or yard as needed.
13. Conducts oneself in such a manner as to contribute a better understanding of the Cooperative when in contact with members or the general public, as well as maintain a harmonious relationship with all Cooperative personnel.
14. Performs such other activities as may be assigned by his immediate supervisor within the limitations of his/her skill to perform efficiently and safely.
15. Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to policies, procedures and regulations set forth by the Coop, local, state and federal laws. Reports unsafe work situation immediately to supervisor or appropriate management.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Will be required to work closely with other Cooperative employees and the general public.
COMMUNICATIONS:
ORAL: Must possess good communicative skills to effectively express oneself to member/customers, vendors, and all level of employees.
WRITTEN: Ability to communicate knowledge and ideas with clearness, effectiveness, and ease.
SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:
Must be self-motivated to complete duties on a timely basis making sure that deadlines are met, and multiple tasks are handled simultaneously.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent education
OTHER SKILLS: Possess a Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sit, stand, walk, grasp, reach outward and overhead, kneel, squat and bend. Ability to safely ascend and descend stairways and ladders. Lift/carry 50 – 75 lbs. Push/pull 25 -50 lbs. Visual acuity and manual dexterity in using precision and non-precision hand tools, power tools, and technical devices; ability to use all required safety equipment. EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
Forklift and/or a backhoe used as a forklift, pickup truck, semi-tractor and trailer. Office equipment including telephone, adding machine, personal computer, and smart phone. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred as well as familiarity with Barcoding.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Warehouse, office and yard. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including heat and extreme cold, and during weather emergencies. Employee is occasionally exposed to an environment with fumes or airborne particles. The noise level may occasionally loud.
