ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of internal strategies and coordination to implement methods to achieve purchasing objectives and monitor compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Provide advice and guidance for Casino, Hotel, and F&B outlets.
- Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of products and services. Ensure contracts are negotiated and executed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in managing high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services. Manage relationships for suppliers within the category.
- Perform supply market data analysis and recommend suppliers and vendors.
- Recognize ineffective strategies or processes and recommend an alternative approach or solution to capitalize on the change.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and team supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and inventory control
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in logistics or supply chain is a plus)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent amount of experience and education.
- 3–5 years in warehouse or logistics roles
- Forklift certification or safety training
- Experience in the supervision of others and building effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds at all levels of management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:
- Forklift certification or safety training
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential duties involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer, kneeling, walking and squatting. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move general office supplies, equipment, and storage boxes. Essential duties involve a standard work week with additional hours as needed.
