LineQuest, LLC is currently seeking an experienced underground Watch & Protect Technician for full-time opportunities. Also looking for candidates in the surrounding cities of Ardmore and Sulphur, Oklahoma. LineQuest will be looking for candidates in the West Side of Oklahoma. Our technicians work independently in the field using our company-provided vehicle. JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing damage prevention services in order to minimize accidental damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
- Watch and protect client facilities including pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, utilities, and pump station equipment in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with all procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct additional Damage Prevention activities including pipeline patrols, inspecting line crossings, excavations, and other activities affecting the client assets, maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform required tasks, and complete associated documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
- Plan, organize, and prioritize assigned responsibilities and coordinate work with employees and contractors.
- Coordinate and communicate with outside parties including landowners, public agencies, contractors, utilities, and other pipeline operators.
- Actively participate and provide leadership in safety programs and initiatives and follow policies and procedures.
- Comply with all company and client safety and procedures.
Pipeline Inspection
- Reviewing construction plans, schematics, and permits.
- Supervising the construction of excavations to ensure compliance with all technical and safety regulations.
- Performing visual inspections to detect faults, damage, corrosion, or leaks in pipeline.
- Identifying and presenting the causes of pipeline faults.
- Documenting assessments and generating incident reports for faulty or defective pipelines.
- Presenting repair, maintenance, and mitigation solutions for compromised pipelines.
- Supervising the pipeline repair and maintenance processes for safety compliance.

- Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like and professional manner.
- Modify communication style in order to influence, persuade, negotiate, and engage all parties according to the audience and circumstance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
- Understanding of safety Policies.
