Excavation/ Utility Contractor in Frederick, MD. is looking to add a few good people to its team.
Pipe layer or operator that understands pipe installation of water mains, sewer mains, storm water, and bio ponds. Ability to set up & use pipe lasers & transit, along with knowledge of reading cut sheets and blue prints a plus. Reporting to the site supervisor, your core skills in blueprint reading and pipe laser operation will guide your work. Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with team members and ensuring safety on construction sites. You need to be a team player; who is a responsible, reliable person with good communication skills. Also someone that takes pride in themselves and their work.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
- Safe operation of equipment to properly install pipe needed for different applications.
- Utilize pipe lasers to ensure accurate alignment and elevation of pipelines.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient construction site.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
Clean driving record, Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening required.
