In this leadership role, you'll manage and mentor a group of engineers while using your technical expertise to deliver complex water supply projects for municipal clients. Goals & Responsibilities
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical professionals within the water supply group.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional municipal water supply projects.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for planning, design, permitting, and construction of water infrastructure, including:
- Wells, pipelines, treatment facilities, storage tanks, and booster stations
- Contaminant removal systems including iron, radium, and PFAS
- Promote and adopt innovative technologies and best practices in water system design and treatment.
- Foster and grow partnerships with water supply consulting firms and collaborators.
- Collaborate directly with client managers, firm executives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin.
- 8+ years of experience on water supply projects, including at least 4 years in project management or business development.
- Deep experience in:
- Water supply planning and system modeling
- Treatment and distribution system design (including permitting and construction)
- Infrastructure such as pipelines, booster stations, storage tanks, and advanced treatment technologies.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while managing complex technical projects.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently—and a willingness to have some fun along the way.
