We’re hiring a Wedding Planning Department Head — a powerhouse planner and confident closer who can deliver an amazing client experience while leading a growing team.
What You’ll Do
As Department Head, you’ll personally plan 40–60 weddings/year, lead our team of planners, and own the full planning sales pipeline. You’ll also be instrumental in shaping systems, setting the standard for client experience, and driving department growth.
Compensation
- $25/hr starting base pay
- 8% commission on all booked planning packages
- Additional earning potential through team performance bonuses and department growth
- Paid hourly for sales calls — no cap on how much you can earn
Responsibilities
Wedding Planning & Client Experience
- Plan weddings start to finish (40–60/year)
- Build timelines, coordinate with vendors, and ensure flawless day-of execution
- Set the tone for communication, organization, and service
Sales & Bookings
- Conduct 8–12 hours of sales calls weekly (minimum of 10 hrs encouraged)
- Manage full sales process: consult → proposal → follow-up → close
- Hit 15+ bookings/month using our proven systems and automations
- More calls = more bookings = more commission — hours are flexible based on performance
Team Leadership
- Oversee, coach, and develop a team of 3+ planners
- Recruit and train new team members as we grow
- Report directly to the company founder and contribute to leadership strategy
Performance & Metrics
- Track KPIs: bookings, reviews, and partnerships
- Follow up with clients post-wedding to drive 5-star reviews
- Submit weekly updates and help refine systems
Sample Weekly Schedule - This role flexes seasonally and by workload. Here’s a typical weekly breakdown:Total Hours: 30–40+/week
- Planning & Client Work – 10–15 hrs
- Sales & Consults – 8–12 hrs (more if desired)
- Team Leadership – 5–8 hrs
- Wedding Days – As assigned (seasonal)
