Small non-profit is looking for one enthusiastic and dependable Weekend Advocate. As the Weekend Advocate, you will work a part-time weekend - night shift (8:00pm - 8:00am Saturday and Sunday) and will be responsible for the following:
- Answering crisis lines and providing crisis intervention and support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Maintaining the security and upkeep of the residential facility
- Performing data entry
- Completing residential intakes and all necessary paperwork
- Interacting with and meeting the immediate needs of residents
- Inventorying resources and supplies
- Planning and implementing activities with residents
- And performing some case management work as necessary to improve residents' chances of becoming safe and independent
A Bachelor’s degree in the psychology, sociology, social work or comparable field of study preferred. Two years of college and experience in crisis intervention, or case management, and residential service considered. Domestic violence knowledge and conflict management skills is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Please send cover letter with resume.
