Location: Private home in 4S Ranch
Work Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Pay: $23 an hour
We have an ambulatory male client who requires assistance on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pay is $23 an hour. He lives alone and needs help with showering, dressing, transfers, companionship, and transportation. He uses a wheelchair and has a vehicle you can use for errands and appointments. Cognitively, he is doing well. He has a dog.
REQUIRMENTS:
- Caregiving experience (minimum one year).
- Registration with the Home Care Services Bureau is required. We can send you information on how to register. After completing the registration and having a cleared status, we can reimburse you for application fees if hired.
- A current Tuberculosis test is required.
- You must also have a current California driver's license, car insurance, a clean driving record, and a reliable means of transportation. Our clients will need assistance with appointments and running errands.
Duties
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals.
- Perform patient observation to monitor health conditions and report any changes.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
- Uphold resident rights by treating clients with dignity and respect.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain a safe living environment.
- Provide direct support in medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with driving and running errands.
We have several shifts available throughout San Diego. Day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts. Please reply with your resume and your preferences for shifts. Our pay is $20 - $23.50 per hour, depending on the length of the shift and overtime. 4-hour shifts pay at $23.50/hour. We also offer health insurance. San Diego Home Caregivers has been in business for over 13 years and has helped hundreds of families here in San Diego. Our office is in Mission Valley, but we cover all of San Diego County. Our Care Managers are there 7 days/a week to help you with your scheduling needs.
