Job Title: Hostess
Location: Cannavita Dispensary, 30-30 Steinway St, Astoria, NY 11103
Schedule: Wednesday- Sunday

Position Overview: We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. As the face of the dispensary, you will play a critical role in setting the tone for the customer experience from the moment they walk in. The ideal candidate, is personable, detail-oriented, and enjoys interacting with people in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Scan and verify valid government-issued identification to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming entrance and lobby area
- Manage customer flow and coordinating with budtenders and MODs.
- Inform guests of wait times, store policies, current promotions, and featured products or brands.
- Ensure all guests are informed about payment options and store layout.
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive, relaxed atmosphere.
- Support front-of-house operations as needed, including answering general inquiries and assisting with customer questions.
- Keep the entrance area clean, stocked, and ready for each shift.
- Report any concerns or incidents to the MOD immediately.
Requirements:
- Must be 21+ with a valid ID
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to complience
- Punctual and dependable, especially for weekends
- Previous hospitality, retail, or cannabis experience a plus (but not required)
- Knowledge of cannabis products and state regulations is an advantage
