Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women’s Services Labor and Delivery team on a temporary assignment. This role is ideal for a nursing professional who is passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will play a vital role in helping patients and families through significant moments, making a meaningful impact on community health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process in alignment with professional standards and scope of practice.
- Administer medications, collect specimens, provide clinical treatments, and perform other necessary medical interventions.
- Accurately document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial or spiritual support needs.
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education considering age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients throughout their care.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in [State] or compact nursing license.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current BLS certification; NRP and ACLS required within six months of hire.
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certification required within one year of hire.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts for a temporary period up to 120 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Labor and Delivery or Women’s Services.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
