Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Attendant to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the aesthetics and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and possess the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Yard Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting.
Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading equipment for customers and drivers
- Upon unloading of equipment, checking for damage to equipment
- Refueling of gasoline or diesel, oil, water levels for equipment, pressure washers and forklifts
- Cleaning and servicing of small air tools, small electric tools, and bulk rental items
- Testing equipment to make sure it works properly
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and basic mechanical repairs as needed.
- Ensure the yard is clean and organized by disposing of debris and waste appropriately.
- Cleaning of larger rental items (rollers, Rammax compactors, etc.) using a pressure washer on wash pad
- General safety knowledge and operation of walk-behind and ride-on equipment shop forklifts for moving of stationary and tow-behind equipment (compressors, light towers, generators, etc.)
- Use of high pressure washers for cleaning of equipment
- Checking hour meters on equipment for use
- Cleaning warehouse and yard by sweeping shop floors, rearranging rental equipment or using pressure washer to clean the yard.
- Follow all Cresco Operational Procedures and QC Standards
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Store Lead Mechanic or any Cresco Manager
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or yard maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to yard care and maintenance.
