Acme Lumber and Building Materials is a family owned lumberyard and hardware store, located in the southeast side of Chicago. In additional to lumber we also sell masonry supplies, plumbing supplies, as well as other metropolitan building specialties.
Job Description:
We are seeking a full time driver and yard worker. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks with forklifts, pulling materials, assisting customers, and making deliveries. Driver's license is required (CDL not necessary). Must be able to drive a larger vehicle, a 16' flat bed and be able to make deliveries throughout the city. Must be 21 years of age and be capable of lifting 100lbs. Experience with building materials and forklifts is preferred. Job will require working Monday-Saturday. This is a full time job with potential for weekly overtime. Payroll is on a weekly basis with 401k matching, paid time off. Must be able to pass a drug test. Must be reliable and have reliable transportation. Must be able to work outside in all of Chicago's weather conditions.
Starting pay $16.50-20/hr. Pay depends on experience, merit, and reliability.
