Software Engineer Controls

You will develop high-performance controls modules for autonomous vehicles operating on challenging off-road terrain. You will characterize vehicle dynamics, create optimal-control solutions, test controls on production vehicles, and work with customer engineers and relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement controls modules for autonomous navigation on off-road vehicles.
• Characterize customer vehicle dynamics to create tailored controls solutions and reduce the simulation-to-reality gap.
• Evaluate and use academic research to create optimal-control solutions using nonlinear MPC and MPPI control.
• Collaborate with customer engineers and manage customer relationships.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production software using modern software practices.
• Experience testing controls solutions on real production-grade vehicles.
• Differential equations.
• Numerical optimization.
• Numerical analysis.
• Physics.
