About the role

The Organic Performance Manager acts as the main point of contact for a key client across all organic channels including content-driven and technical SEO (which is the focus of this role), and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization). You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and results of market leading strategies, based on a strong understanding of clients, their services/products, and commercial objectives with key focus on driving client ROI. Client relationship-building is a strong focus, with direct contact supported by an Organic Performance Director and the Global Head of Organic Performance. The development of your knowledge and skills is encouraged and supported, and you will be expected to provide guidance to junior members of the team.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Develop market leading organic performance strategies, collaborating with your team
  • Fully understand client products and commercial objectives, with the ability to articulate this to others
  • Support management team in new business work with pitch research around Organic Search (SEO)
  • Ensure strong project management and delivery against deadlines
  • Organize and coordinate communication between clients and internal teams to ensure efficient and integrated ways of working
  • Be aware of activity and plans in other channels for your clients, both internally and externally (cross agency coordination / internal
    Essence integration)
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, proactively addressing potential performance issues
  • Perform technical SEO audits and create recommendations documentation
  • Full responsibility of the project’s performance from start to finish
  • Develop multiple case studies throughout the course of the year
  • Accountable for quarterly business review of products assigned
  • Coach and train junior members towards growth in channels/client services
  • Identify issues, troubleshoot and communicate with internal and external clients

A bit about yourself:

  • Approximately 2-4 years of experience in a digital media agency
  • Specialization in Organic Search (SEO)
  • Experience with planning and running larger-scale campaigns across multiple markets and with enterprise SEO platforms
  • Optimize different forms of content following best practice
  • Strong understanding of Technical SEO
  • Good with HTML (able to create a simple webpage with notepad)
  • Able to write and validate schema, Open Graph and Twitter Cards
  • Great analytical skills (including quantitative analysis), proven critical thinking capability, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven experience managing people/teams, including responsibility for career development
  • Self-starter who can proactively influence clients to help evolve best practices and drive innovation
  • Experience in internal and external stakeholder relationship management
