As a Senior Manager in the Analytics team within Credit Solutions, you will help design and execute on process improvements in credit and risk management routines for Underwriting and Portfolio Management. Deliver flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results directly or through others. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will monitor trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure analytical integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time.
We are seeking dedicated and disciplined professionals who excel in a team environment and who have experience in the Commercial credit landscape. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve underwriting or risk management processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for associates. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.
We are looking for someone with a proven background in solving problems and influencing across multiple groups and job levels to ensure buy in. This is an exciting role that requires strong attention to detail, and a desire to deeply understand the process, data, and product environment in order to solve problems at the root cause.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
Execution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
Leadership: May manage and develop a team. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One’s strategies
Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven
Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
As a Senior Manager, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will lead and team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line and you’ll do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 4 years of experience in Process management or at least 4 years of experience in Project management
At least 5 years of experience in Process management or Project Management
At least 1 year of experience with Commercial Lending
At least 1 year of experience with Analytical or Risk Management Related reporting
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
