About You
  • 12-15 years’ experience in an accounting background, with a portion of time spent in both public and private accounting practices
  • Financial services background
  • Strong management experience for more than 5 years
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory regimes a plus
  • Prior exposure to corporate tax
  • HKFRS and IFRS – other GAAP knowledge, such as PRC GAAP, a plus
  • Strong excel skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and being heavily involved in the audit process
  • Team player and collaborative nature
About the Position

This role involves the management of the Hong Kong accounting function and oversight over

the APAC entities’ books and records and the system of controls around financial reporting, while also working in conjunction with the accounting teams in London and New York. This includes the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related filings. This individual will also be heavily involved in accounting policy decisions, HKFRS interpretations, and will work closely with the outside auditors and advisers. Specifically, this individual will proactively address accounting issues as they arise and consider the impact across the firm in order to develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures associated with new and/or unusual transactions or as a result of changes in the relevant GAAP.
