Position Summary

Provides oversight and coordination of services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking, ensuring timely, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered access to care. Provides direct case management services while supporting effective service delivery and reducing barriers to care. Coordinates client needs across agency and community resources and supports consistent implementation of program practices and service standards.

Job Description

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field required. Current Ohio LSW or eligibility for Ohio social work licensure required
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Experience providing services to individuals impacted by trauma, violence, and other barriers to safety and stability
  • Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations).

Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversees Access to Care Programming which includes case management services, advocacy in medical and other settings, and outreach and training efforts to meet the unique needs of a variety of populations
  • Maintains an individual caseload to assist clients whose lives have been disrupted by sexual violence and human trafficking, which includes program intakes, goal planning, referral information, emotional support, crisis intervention, and other services as required
  • Provides direct supervision to staff in a trauma-informed manner
  • Maintains client and program documentation in compliance with agency procedure
  • Assists with programmatic statistics, document creation, and evaluation
  • Represent H&H at community meetings as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain confidentiality of information learned through one’s employment at the H&H
  • Represent the mission and philosophy of the H&H at all times.
  • Always adheres to Service Excellence standards.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, CARF Standards and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Work environment: This position will be in a facility with victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. In addition to interaction with the survivors, the employee may have interactions with families of these individuals, the assailants and law enforcement.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-time;
  • Serves in supervisor on-call rotation
  • Schedule is flexible - based on client needs and on-call responsibilities. Some evenings, overnights, and weekends required.

  • Ability to remain calm, empathetic, non-judgmental and compassionate in crisis situations
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with diverse populations.
  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel.
