C++ Software Engineer Autonomous Systems

You will build core C++ framework software for collaborative autonomy across air, ground, and maritime environments. You will integrate domain-specific platforms, support multidisciplinary engineering efforts, optimize real-time performance, and create tools that improve development and testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance C++ framework software
• Develop software for coordination among autonomous agents across operational domains
• Collaborate with autonomy engineers, product managers, and customers to deliver solutions
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development and code quality
• Profile, debug, and optimize code for real-time, resource-constrained environments
• Create scripts and tools to improve development velocity and testing efficiency

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong modern C++ programming skills, including C++20 or later
• Experience with Python and shell scripting
• Proficiency with agentic coding tools or AI-assisted development tools
• Understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Willingness to travel 10–20%
• U.S. citizenship
• Eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
