C++ Software Engineer - Physical AI

You will architect, implement, and own backend infrastructure for defense autonomy products. You will build scalable systems for multi-domain autonomous operations, translate mission requirements into software, partner with researchers and customers, and take engineering work from architecture through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance C++ backend systems
• Build scalable and reliable infrastructure for autonomous systems in contested and degraded conditions
• Translate mission requirements into robust software solutions with researchers, product teams, and defense customers
• Own engineering workstreams from architecture through deployment
• Contribute to technical standards and engineering practices
• Interface with Department of Defense programs and defense customers

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong C++ skills
• Backend engineering knowledge in systems programming, concurrency, performance optimization, and distributed systems
• Interest in autonomy, robotics, or physical AI
• Computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar technical foundation
• Python proficiency for tooling, scripting, and integration work
• U.S. citizenship
• Eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
