Engineering Manager Forward Deployment Defense

You will lead and develop a team of forward-deployed engineers delivering customer projects. You will set technical direction, oversee deployment and integration outcomes, establish scalable delivery practices, review architectures, resolve escalations, and work directly with defense and government customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers
• Set technical direction across customer engagements
• Build scalable delivery practices for customer projects
• Work with defense and government customers to deploy and operationalize vehicle intelligence products
• Guide software engineering, operating system configuration, system deployment, and hardware integration
• Design scalable approaches for customer engagement and project execution
• Develop architectural solutions that improve project consistency and scalability
• Own technical outcomes and drive projects to completion

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience
• At least 2 years of recent technical leadership experience
• Production-grade software experience with customer deployments
• Customer-facing problem-solving skills
• Experience mentoring and leading engineers
• Engineering experience across software, operating systems, and hardware
• Experience integrating and deploying complex systems
• U.S. citizenship
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
