Hardware Test Engineer

You will validate automotive-grade PCB designs through board-level testing and prototype hardware characterization. You will use lab equipment to measure board performance, automate test routines, analyze and document results, and support board bring-up and root-cause analysis. You will interpret OEM test protocols, maintain lab setups, and improve reusable test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve validation test plans for custom automotive PCBs
• Characterize board performance using lab equipment
• Automate lab equipment and test routines using Python or similar scripting languages
• Analyze and document results for internal teams and external customers
• Collaborate on board bring-up and root-cause analysis
• Interpret and follow OEM test protocols
• Maintain lab setups and improve test efficiency with reusable infrastructure

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in board-level testing and validation
• Experience using lab test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power meters
• Familiarity with thermal, structural, and electrical stress testing
• Experience with test automation using Python, LabView, or similar tools
• Familiarity with vehicle or consumer electronics validation flows
• Documentation and communication skills
• Exposure to automotive, agriculture, construction, or defense OEM or Tier 1 supplier test protocols
• Ability to read schematics and debug at component level
