Job description

Summary

The Quality Assurance Test Manager owns test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for all UAT and security/penetration testing — not just one milestone's UAT cycle, but the standing test practice the program UAT executes against. Working under the Business Transformation Lead and in close partnership with the Business Transformation Project Manager, the Senior Business Analyst, and the client's Change Agent Council, this role plans and runs User Acceptance Testing and Security/Penetration execution as a formal, PM-grade discipline: entry/exit criteria, defect management, environment and test-data readiness, and milestone go/no-go reporting.

The below is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job and is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of essential functions, responsibilities, or requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Governance

  • Own the program-wide UAT strategy across all milestones to include User Acceptance Testing and Security/Penetration Testing — approach, entry/exit criteria, test types, environments, test data management and tooling.
  • Define and maintain the master UAT Test Plan for each milestone, aligned to the PDLC/SDLC operating model and that milestone's scope.
  • Establish the UAT defect management process — severity/priority definitions, triage cadence, and resolution SLAs — in partnership with the Altimetrik engineering team.
  • Own test data management and environment readiness ahead of every execution cycle, escalating gaps that put a cycle at risk.

Test Execution & Milestone Delivery

  • Plan and manage multi-cycle UAT execution for each milestone, bringing Senior Business Analyst-authored scripts, Change Agent Council validation, Super User execution and Altimetrik engineering defect resolution together into a single execution schedule.
  • Track execution progress and defect burn-down against milestone scope and escalate risks to milestone go/no-go readiness to the Transformation Office.
  • Own the formal test-exit report and business acceptance package presented at each milestone gate.
  • Coordinate testing-calendar alignment with the independent security testing engagement and the Anovo security testing owner, so results feed a single milestone risk picture.

Test Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce test status and quality reporting for the Transformation Office and Executive Steering Committee — coverage, defect trends, and exit readiness — at every milestone.
  • Track and improve test-cycle efficiency, defect leakage, and regression coverage milestone over milestone.
  • Maintain a central test-case and defect repository with traceability from requirements through test cases to milestone deliverable – in partnership with Altimetrik engineering team.

Building Internal Anovo Test Capability

  • Design and stand up Anovo's own test practice — templates, tooling, roles, and ways of working — so test management does not remain dependent on Altimetrik.
  • Partner with the Transformation Office's Knowledge Transfer Plan to define the capability hand-off path and readiness criteria for Anovo to own testing independently.
  • Train and mentor Anovo staff, including Superusers / Change Agents performing hands-on UAT, on test practices, tooling, and reporting.
  • Support the SDLC/test function transition from Altimetrik to Anovo Tech at program close.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Minimum Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, computer science or another related field.
  • 10+ years in QA/test management or project management with a strong test-management focus, ideally within large, multi-workstream transformation programs.
  • Proven ownership of test strategy, test planning, and multi-cycle UAT execution on enterprise platform implementations.
  • Experience managing defect management processes and driving milestone go/no-go testing-readiness decisions.
  • Comfortable operating across the full SDLC, not only UAT — familiar with configuration-first, vendor-delivered platform delivery models.
  • Experience building or maturing an internal test/QA capability, including knowledge transfer to a client or in-house team.
  • Strong reporting and stakeholder communication skills, comfortable presenting test readiness to steering-committee-level audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a contract capacity, integrating quickly into an established client Transformation Office and delivery organization.
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy, rare disease, or other regulated healthcare -Preferred (HIPAA, REMS, accreditation) environments.
  • Hands-on experience with test management/defect tracking tooling (e.g., Jira/Xray, Zephyr, ALM, or similar).
  • Exposure to platform-modernization or data/AI transformation programs and the operating-model change they drive.
  • Recognized test-management or project-management credentials (ISTQB, CSTE, PMP, or equivalent).
