Darba apraksts

You will design and ship deterministic, safety-critical planning systems for autonomous vehicles operating under degradation and uncertainty. You will build fallback planners, evaluate their performance with simulation and real-world data, develop analysis tools, and collaborate across autonomy and safety functions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement classical or ML motion planners for fallback and minimal-risk maneuvers
  • Build planners that operate under degraded perception, partial observability, and system faults
  • Define and execute deterministic vehicle motions including slow-downs, pull-overs, and safe stops
  • Evaluate planner behavior using simulation and real-world data
  • Develop metrics, analysis tools, and dashboards for planner performance
  • Collaborate with behavior prediction, perception, controls, safety, and remote assistance teams
  • Contribute to a reusable fallback platform

Requirements

  • 4+ years of motion planning experience for autonomous vehicles or robotics
  • Knowledge of robotic motion planning algorithms and trajectory generation
  • Experience building deterministic, safety-critical planning systems
  • Experience with large-scale evaluation, debugging, and planning-behavior tuning
  • C++ proficiency and real-time systems experience
  • Systems thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Benefits

  • Equity
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • 401k retirement benefits with employer match
  • Learning and wellness stipends
