Senior HRIS Manager
Position Summary
The Senior HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, and integrity of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with primary ownership of ADP and related HR technologies. This role serves as the subject matter expert for HR systems, data governance, reporting, analytics, system efficiencies, and process improvement initiatives across the Human Resources function.
The Senior HRIS Manager partners closely with HR Leadership, Payroll, Finance, IT, and operational departments to ensure HR systems effectively support organizational goals, workforce analytics, compliance requirements, and business operations. This position is responsible for maintaining data integrity, developing and analyzing HR metrics, improving workflows and automation, managing system upgrades and enhancements, and leveraging HR technology to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and employee experience.
This role requires a highly analytical and strategic professional with strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & System Ownership
- Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for ADP and all HRIS-related systems and processes.
- Manage day-to-day HRIS operations, system configuration, maintenance, functionality, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, integrations, implementations, and technical projects.
- Collaborate with system vendors, IT teams, and internal stakeholders regarding enhancements, issue resolution, and system optimization.
- Manage and troubleshoot all ADP support cases and vendor relationships.
- Maintain HRIS system tables, workflows, security access, and system configurations.
- Ensure HR systems are functioning efficiently, accurately, and securely.
Data Management, Reporting & Analytics
- Own and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and security of all HR data.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics for HR Leadership and executive teams.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting, compensation, payroll, performance management, attendance, onboarding, and other HR metrics.
- Perform statistical analysis and data validation to support business decisions and organizational planning.
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvements through data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and data governance standards.
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
- Evaluate, redesign, and optimize HRIS workflows and HR operational processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Identify opportunities for automation and system enhancements to streamline HR and payroll functions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to HR technology and process design.
- Recommend and implement best practices for HR systems, reporting, and data management.
- Support integration of new software, tools, and technologies as needed.
Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes, data, payroll administration, and system records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to HR data and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee data and HR records.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests related to HRIS, payroll, compliance, and workforce reporting.
Training, Support & Collaboration
- Provide technical support and guidance to HR team members, managers, and employees regarding HR systems and reporting tools.
- Develop and deliver HRIS training materials and user support documentation.
- Partner with HR Leadership and department managers to identify system needs and operational improvements.
- Support organizational initiatives and special projects involving HR technology and workforce analytics.
- Participate in HRIS and ADP user groups, conferences, and professional development opportunities to remain current on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5+) years of progressive HRIS experience, including system administration, reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
- Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and workforce management processes.
- Experience with HRIS implementations, integrations, upgrades, and testing.
- Advanced reporting and analytics experience, including dashboard development and workforce metrics.
- Experience with SQL, XML, reporting tools, and database management preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Compensation & Benefits
Offered salary commensurate with experience, plus discretionary bonus.
$130,000 - $150,000
