You will define and manage safety concepts, requirements, and specifications for autonomy software and hardware. You will develop safety architecture, perform safety analyses, coordinate verification and validation, and monitor safety performance.

Responsibilities

  • Derive and manage safety concepts requirements and specifications for autonomy software and hardware
  • Lead development of safety architecture
  • Perform FMEA FTA and STPA safety analyses
  • Work with verification and validation to verify requirements throughout development
  • Contribute to the final product safety case
  • Provide safety training and guidance
  • Monitor and report safety performance and implement continuous improvements
  • Set project goals and oversee timely execution

Requirements

  • 2+ years of System Safety Engineering or Functional Safety Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science Electrical Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • Expertise in mechanical electrical and software engineering
  • Experience with ADAS autonomous systems or robotics
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 ISO 21448 ISO/DPAS 8800 and UL4600
  • Experience driving safety requirements across the V model
  • Experience with architecture requirements generation implementation verification and validation
