Technical Revenue Accounting Manager

You will structure and review complex software deals, prepare revenue-recognition memos, own revenue policies, and maintain accurate order-to-cash data. You will support close, forecasts, audits, disclosures, SOX controls, and cross-functional process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Review, structure, and approve complex bundled deals with cross-functional teams
- Prepare technical accounting memos for complex revenue transactions
- Own revenue recognition policies and technical accounting guidance
- Process and review customer orders in Salesforce and NetSuite
- Establish processes for determining standalone selling prices
- Support monthly close, revenue forecasting, audit readiness, schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare revenue disclosures for financial statements
- Support SOX controls, process documentation, and public-company reporting readiness
- Improve cross-functional processes and revenue predictability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive revenue operations, sales operations, or related experience in software businesses
- Deep understanding of ASC 606
- Experience with complex multi-year software contracts and revenue recognition
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos
- Experience building and scaling processes in a high-growth environment
- Experience with deal-desk review and approval workflows
- Analytical, process-improvement, and project-management skills
- Accuracy in handling financial data
