Senior Map Operations Specialist

In this role, you will manage map operations projects from planning through execution, quality monitoring, and outcome review. You will combine project management experience with map data knowledge to prioritize work, coordinate internal teams and partners, and turn real-world feedback into actionable improvements.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Plan and coordinate map operations projects from request intake and scope definition through timelines, resourcing, risk management, delivery, and close-out.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of POI, road, route, geofence, venue, and navigation-related data, ensuring work follows approved processes and data sources.
• Consolidate feedback from users, field activities, and internal stakeholders; validate and prioritize issues, then partner with Product, Engineering, or Data teams to drive resolution.
• Coordinate field data collection and vendor operations, including operational readiness, guidance, quality checks, and follow-up on issues.
• Track project progress, backlog, service levels, productivity, and quality control results; identify root causes and recommend actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Standardize SOPs and task-tracking processes; use AI tools and automation where appropriate to reduce repetitive work while protecting privacy and data quality.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 2 years of experience in project or operations management, including at least 1 years working with map data, geospatial data, or field data collection.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and managing scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks.
• Ability to analyze operational data, monitor KPIs, and use Google Sheets or Excel to maintain trackers, report progress, and identify issues.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners; strong Vietnamese communication skills and working proficiency in English for regional collaboration.
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and contribute new ideas.
• Experience coordinating vendors or field data collection programs.

Good to Have

• Understanding of map data creation, updates, or quality review processes, such as those for POIs, roads, routes, venues, or geofences.
• Exposure to road and navigation testing, map imagery, public transport, or indoor and venue mapping.
• Experience developing SOPs, quality control processes, or operational automation.
• Knowledge or certification in project management, GIS, geography, urban planning, or a related field.
