Senior Project Manager, Payment Systems

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead delivery across both our team and the client's team, overseeing core project management activities while serving as the primary driver of process improvement. You will delegate routine coordination tasks to team leads whenever possible, allowing you to focus on the bigger picture: identifying opportunities to help a distributed team work more efficiently and effectively through AI, automation, and continuous process optimization.

• Plan, coordinate, and track delivery for a blended team consisting of our engineers and the client's in house development team, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, and execution.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives, while delegating routine facilitation activities to team leads where appropriate.
• Assess existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical process improvements that deliver measurable and sustainable results.
• Own and continuously improve the Jira environment, including workflows, boards, dashboards, automation rules, and reporting standards.
• Drive the adoption of AI powered tools, particularly Claude, by identifying high value use cases, running pilots, scaling successful initiatives, and measuring their impact.
• Design and implement automation for repetitive project management and team processes, including status reporting, ticket triage, and recurring operational updates.
• Define, monitor, and analyze team efficiency metrics, providing clear progress reports and insights to key stakeholders.
• Mentor and support team leads in taking ownership of day to day coordination activities, enabling effective team operations with reduced reliance on central project management.

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager working on Agile projects using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
• Experience leading AI adoption initiatives or productivity improvement programs at the team or department level.
• Background in the payments domain.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, or transforming delivery processes, rather than solely operating established processes.
• Advanced Jira expertise, including workflow configuration, automation rules, dashboards, and reporting.
• Hands on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot to improve individual or team productivity.
• Experience managing distributed or cross functional teams, including collaboration with client side team members.
• Upper Intermediate English (B2) or higher, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, prepare stakeholder reports, and maintain project documentation.

• Experience establishing an AI Driven Development Lifecycle (ADLC), with AI tools integrated into planning, development, testing, and delivery processes.
• Familiarity with automation platforms and tools such as Jira Automation, Zapier, n8n, and scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience defining, tracking, and improving delivery performance using metrics such as DORA, cycle time, throughput, and other data driven process improvement practices.
• Agile or project management certifications, such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or SAFe certifications.
