These are the folks who keep their communities running smoothly. Their work is essential, but often constrained by outdated tools.
We fix that. Our cloud-based platform replaces legacy systems with simple, integrated software built specifically for small governments. We serve thousands of communities nationwide, streamlining operations, improving service delivery, and making day-to-day work more manageable.
We’re consolidating several acquired products into one platform and guiding our clients through this transition. It’s complex, important work that requires a team that can execute at a high level to help drive that transformation.
The Role:
The Account Executive drives results that advance both revenue goals and our mission. This role demands initiative, competitive energy, and the discipline to focus on high-impact outcomes. Success requires consistent execution across varied activities, the confidence to take decisive action, and the ability to engage others in achieving shared goals.
The ideal candidate pairs curiosity and humility with a relentless commitment to improve their craft by turning coaching into action and feedback into measurable wins. They build trust quickly, foster strong relationships, and communicate with clarity, purpose, and persuasion.
Independent yet collaborative, the Account Executive works with urgency, resilience, and a high standard of performance. Every deal closed not only grows the business but also furthers the meaningful impact we deliver to those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly aid prospects through the buying process to consistently win new business and cross-sells in a high volume environment
- Thoroughly understand customer needs and effectively communicate the gWorks solution value proposition.
- Develop and manage your pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
- Be driven to stay current in gWorks’ SaaS offerings, their benefits, and the value they provide to our clients.
- Attend conferences and occasionally travel to get in front of prospects, present to local government council meetings, and speak at events to drive the sales process to a successful conclusion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts.
- Track all activity and documentation within a CRM (HubSpot).
- Be an active user of CRM (HubSpot), Gong, Email/Call Sequencing (HubSpot), and be collaborative with sales support (SE/BDR/Marketing team)
What You'll Bring
- College degree in business or related fields.
- 1+ year Sales, Marketing, or outbound calling experience
- GovTech sales and experience working with local government and utilities a plus
- SaaS or recurring revenue sales experience required
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of concurrent tasks while working independently or with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A successful and provable history of selling a suite of software products and services in a committee environment with varied stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, online business tools, and CRM.
- Loves and is comfortable with technology. Able to learn new technologies quickly.
Where You’ll Work
- Omaha-based? You'll follow our hybrid model: work remotely with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Remote? You’ll be fully supported to work from anywhere in the U.S. We prioritize connected, accountable teams — no matter where you're located
- Members of the sales team should expect to attend 4-6 conferences in their territory each year during event season.

- Base Salary Range: $70,000 Variable Comp - $70,000+ (uncapped) Total On Target Earnings
