- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage weekly and bi-weekly payrolls in multiple states, including tax calculations, benefits processing, and compliance.
- Maintain employee payroll records, handle tax withholdings, deductions, and bonuses.
- Assist with financial audits and input payroll journal entries into the general ledger.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the payroll system.
- Stay updated on payroll and accounting regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures.
- Possess strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance.
- Manage the employee purchase card system and ensure expense coding accuracy.
- Collaborate with departments for accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with accounts payable entry and customer billing as needed.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
- Proficient in relevant software applications.
- Drive continuous improvement and lead change independently or within a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years' experience as a payroll/accounting professional.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel and word.
- Experience working with Dayforce payroll software preferred.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Speak fluent English, read, hear, and have good vision.
